Is Fall the New Hot Market in DC?

Capital Estate Group is preparing to close out a banner September. Often, when we are thinking about real estate “peak” times we think Spring, yet that isn’t always the case, especially in the District. A company called HomeLight recently determined that in the DC Metro area, seller should list in September or October. According to their data, home sell for 35% higher during this time of year.

Among the speculation in why this is the case are our humid summers and the timing of transplants into our area. Whatever the case, it is clear we have 2 very hot markets in DC, both the Spring and the Fall.
